The debating club once again had a successful debate trip on the 27th of April 2016 at Frankfurt International School. As always, we took part in two rounds: prepared and impromptu.
The school itself was very large and impressive, and we were all struck by how beautiful the campus was. We then moved on to our impromptu debate against Phorms. The motion was THBT (This House Believes That) having a romantic relationship in high school does more harm than good. We were arguing for the motion, and although we weren’t entirely confident going in, we were very pleased to come away with the win.
Our second debate focused on whether it is better to invest in improving roads or public transport. We also won this round, which puts us in a strong position as we aim to reach the finals.
Overall, it was a very successful and rewarding experience for the team.
